The concept for the fountain, ‘Community of Aspiration’, was developed for Grankraft in collaboration with L.A. based firm Fluidity Design.

Seven monumental Ring sculptures—symbolic and sublime—are lifted into architectural space to establish a meaningful, vibrant and celebratory commemorative fountain for Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates on the golden band of the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Employing Ring symbolism at the architectural scale, conceived in harmony with momentous water presentation, provides this design with meaning, urban excitement and a variety of rewarding visitor experiences.

Within each ring, a cascade of waterfalls adorns the perimeter, creating a mesmerizing curtain of flowing water for drivers, passengers and pedestrians. As pedestrian visitors

approach, motion sensors detect their presence, causing the cascades to gracefully part, inviting them to step inside and explore the captivating world within.
