Designed for the government of Sharjah the Mountain Restaurant & Cafe

is approximately 40m in diameter at the top of Hefaiyah Lake and provides visitors with a memorable experience.

The circular footprint of the building is covered in beautiful ribbons - reminiscent of a bird's nest - that are configured to reduce solar radiation and coloured to blend in with the mountain. This creates an everchanging play of light and shadow in the interior of the building - making each view a unique experience.

The design proposes to elevate the main building of the ground to maximise the views and create a unique entrance experience. Part of this is to design the arrival sequence by car and finding a strategic location for the parking so that the views are not only not disturbed but maximised to provide different vistas for a richer guest experience.
