The projects encourages a change of attitude towards greater use of sustainable modes of transport. Inspired by the Abu Dhabi Transportation Mobility Management Strategy our proposal introduces the idea of a branded Bus Station for Abu Dhabi that explores new technologies in context of the digitalization and becomes a pilot project for innovative public transport solutions.

The design is based on modular design and on the principles of passive design to minimize energy consumption whilst providing the passengers with a unique experience and comfort.

It is envisaged that the bus-stops will be a testament to the  digital, technical and scientific excellence of the Emirates exploring new technologies in the public transport sector improving connectivity, safety and well-being. LED integrated into the curved glass to act as display for latest timetable and news updates. The surface can also be used for advertisement or public announcements. It can also be used to signal the driver if there is a need to stop, helping with the efficiency of service and reducing CO2 emissions.

The design proposals aim at improving the public realm with landscape and shading interventions as well as improving the design, access and provision of public transport and micro-mobility infrastructure whilst also creating a recognisable brand identity for the public transport provider.
